SikaBond® T-8 is a single-component, elastic polyurethane adhesive, ready to use, that allows tile bonding and floor waterproofing to be carried out in a single operation.

It forms a waterproofing layer onto which ceramic tiles can be bonded over substrates such as concrete, mortar, and existing tiles. It is especially suitable for balconies, terraces, loggias, kitchens, bathrooms, and other areas exposed to water.

USES

SikaBond® T-8 is intended for the waterproofing and installation of ceramic flooring. It can be used to create a waterproofing layer and bond ceramic tiles over:

• Concrete
• Mortar
• Existing ceramic tiles
• Balconies
• Terraces
• Loggias
• Kitchens
• Bathrooms
• Other areas frequently exposed to water

CONSUMPTION

For the waterproofing layer, the approximate consumption is 2.0–2.7 kg/m², applied with a steel trowel in a layer approximately 2 mm thick, depending on the quality of the substrate.

For the bonding layer, the approximate consumption is 1.5 kg/m², using a notched trowel with minimum 4 × 4 mm teeth or a C1 trowel.

Consumption may be lower when working over previously primed substrates.
