Descripción
Aquaflex Roof Plus is a liquid waterproofing membrane, ready to use, formulated by MAPEI's R&D laboratories, which have developed an innovative system composed of polyurethane-acrylic synthetic resins in aqueous dispersion, without solvents and free of volatile organic substances. (VOC). Once dry, Aquaflex Roof Plus creates a continuous membrane, with an elongation capacity of more than 350%, resistant to atmospheric agents and ultraviolet rays, thus guaranteeing long-lasting protection to the support.
CHARACTERISTICS
- Increased elasticity compared to common acrylic waterproofing membranes
- Fast dry
- Ready for use, easy to apply thanks to its special consistency and high distension capacity
TO IMPORTANT NOTICES
- Do not apply Aquaflex Roof Plus with temperatures below +5 °C or above +35 °C, or in case of imminent rain
- In the case of roofs subjected to severe temperatures, always apply Mapetex 50 reinforcing reinforcement
- Do not apply if there is dew on the support. Protect from rain until completely dry.
- Do not apply Aquaflex Roof Plus on supports with a residual humidity > 2.5% or subject to rising humidity.
- Do not apply Aquaflex Roof Plus on painted metal supports
- In case of rain between two layers of Aquaflex Roof Plus, wait at least 12 hours before applying the second coat or, in any case, until there is no residual moisture, so as not to affect the adhesion between both layers.
- Do not use on recently built bituminous sheets (< 6 months); Wait, in any case, for the complete oxidation of the surfaces to be treated.
FIELDS OF APPLICATION
Waterproofing of:
- Flat, inclined, curved or complex-shaped roofs
- New roofs and repair of existing ones
Aquaflex Roof Plus can be applied to:
- Concrete
- Cementitious screeds or screeds based on special binders (Topcem or Topcem Pronto)
- Ceramics and stone coatings
- fiber cement boards
- Existing bituminous sheets
- Galvanized sheet, copper, aluminum, steel or iron
CONSUMPTION
- The indicated consumptions generally correspond to the application of a uniform film on a flat surface and could increase if the surface of the support were irregular.
- As a protective finish or reflective coating on existing bituminous membranes: approx. 0.9kg/m²
- As a waterproofing membrane: 2 kg/m² is equivalent to approx. 1mm dry thickness
COLOR
- White, gray or terracotta red
PRESENTATION
- 5 kg and 20 kg drums
